amazonite: is a mineral of limited occurrence. It is found in the U.S., Brazil, Zimbabwe, Russia, Australia and Namibia. The name of the stone is said to originate from the Amazon River. This soothing stone that comes in green and blue green shades, as lore has it, is often called a "hope stone."
